PURPOSE OF THIS NOTICE

This page describes Valla S.p.a's PRIVACY POLICY with respect to the treatment of personal data for all those who have entrusted the company with their data.
The privacy statement conforms to article 13 of Legislative Decree no. 196/2003 and also concerns parties who interact with the Valla S.p.a. web services . The statement is in line with the recommendation no. 2/2001, which the European authorities for personal data protection, part of the Group established under art. 29 of directive no. 95/46/EC, adopted on 17 May 2001 to identify some of the minimum requirements for the collection of personal data online and in particular as regards the methods, terms and nature of the information that the data controllers must supply to users when they connect to the web pages, whatever the reason for the connection.
The statement is only valid for the www.valla.com website and not for any other websites that users may possibly consult through links.

HOW DATA IS TREATED

The data entrusted to Valla S.p.a. is treated mainly with computerised tools and exclusively for the indicated purposes and length of time strictly necessary to achieve the objective it is collected for.
Specific security measures are followed to avoid the loss of data, unlawful or incorrect use of data and unauthorized access.

RIGHTS OF INTERESTED PARTIES

Anyone who has their personal data in the hands of Valla S.p.a., has the right at any moment to ask for confirmation as to the existence or non-existence of such data and to be informed on its content and origin. The interested parties may verify the exactness of the data or request that the data be added to, updated or modified (art. 7 of Legislative Decree no. 196/2003 – code on personal data collection).
In accordance with such article, interested parties may also request that data handled unlawfully are removed, updated, modified, made anonymous or blocked. In any case, interested parties may object, for any legitimate reasons, to the treatment of data in question.
Requests are to be referred to the Controller or preferably to the person responsible for the indicated claim.

TYPES OF DATA TREATED

Navigation data

Throughout routine working, the computer systems and software procedures required for the smooth working of this website works collect personal data that is implicitly transmitted by the use of Internet communication protocols.

Although this information is not collected in order to be associated with identified interested parties, in virtue of its very nature it may lead to the identification of the user through data processing and association with data held by third parties.

This category of data includes IP addresses or domain names of the computers used by the users to connect to the website, the URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) addresses of the resources required, the time of the request, the method used to send a request to the server, the size of the file obtained in reply, the numeric code that indicates the state of the reply given by the server (sent, error, etc.) and other parameters relating to the user's operating system and data processing environment.

This data shall only be used for the purpose of obtaining anonymous statistical information on the use of the website and to check it is operating properly.

Data on web contacts shall be deleted after 7 days. Even under application of article 3 of Legislative Decree no. 196/3 (principle of necessity), only information relative to the IP address, with the exclusion of any statistical purpose, may be maintained for a longer period in order to ascertain responsibility in the case of hypothetical data processing crimes to the detriment of the site.

Data provided voluntarily by the user .

The optional, explicit and voluntary sending of e-mails to the addresses indicated on this site entails the acquisition of the sender's address, necessary to answer the requests, as well as any other possible personal data included in the message.

COOKIES

No user personal data is purposely acquired by the website.

Cookies are not used for the transmission of information of a personal nature. No kind of permanent cookie whatsoever is used i.e. systems for user tracing.

The use of these session cookies (which do not get memorised permanently on the user's computer but disappear when browser is closed) is strictly limited to the transmission of session data (made up of chance numbers generated by the server) necessary for ensuring safe and efficient exploration of the site. The use of session cookies in this site avoids the need to use other data processing techniques that may interfere with the user's navigation privacy and they do not consent acquisition of user's personally identifiable data

RESERVED AREA

Users can only enter the reserved area if Valla S.p.a . has enabled them to do so. To carry out this operation Valla S.p.a. has adopted a univocal recognition system, which also has the added option of using digital certificates to ensure higher data security. Users can enter the reserved area to consult data, such as customised price lists, technical or sales documentation etc.)

OPTION TO PROVIDE DATA AND COLLECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION ONLINE

Although providing data is optional, it may be the only solution for supplying technical information regarding products and services on offer. In this case, it is necessary to fill in the appropriate form. Failure to do so may mean that it is impossible to satisfy the request. In correspondence to data collected directly from the Internet at www.valla.com (e.g. services registration form, data provided in order to receive information on products), the links to the information on the treatment are supplied within the context of the collection in each single form.

NAVIGATION WITHOUT REGISTRATION

Any one is free to navigate on the www.valla.com site, and it does not necessarily require registration.
Anyone who navigates but does not register shall not be submitted to monitoring, neither by reference to the site that linked them nor with reference to the pages visited, if not foreseen in the paragraph “Navigation Data”.

In order to subscribe to the newsletter or receive information on initiatives, events or any news regarding Valla S.p.a.'s activities, you will need to register. Even in this case users shall not be monitored, neither with reference to the site that linked them nor with reference to the pages visited.

COMMUNICATION AND DISCLOSURE

The data supplied shall only be used to carry out routine procedures in keeping with Valla S.p.a. procedures , therein including disclosures of a commercial nature in line with the company's marketing policies. With the exception of singular cases and where permission has been granted and specified in the privacy statement, the personal data collected shall not be communicated to third parties or disclosed at large.
