The company's headquarters

The Valla Spa production headquarters are located in Calendasco (near Piacenza), a small city 60 km south-east of Milan, Italy .

Located in a "campus" setting, Valla facilities include:

• administration, sales and engineering offices;
• manufacturing and welding workshop;
• paint booth;
• design and test facilities;
• spare parts store;
• production lines for sub-assembly through to final assembly.

Production

Valla cranes are crafted one by one by engineers and designers , thoroughly up-to-date with state of the CAD/CAM equipment. Teams of specialists fabricate them, each team working on a particular subassembly. The final assembly team treats each crane as a single hand-crafted work of art.

The division of labour means that each team can concentrate on a particular crane until the entire crane has been assembled, tested and is ready to be controlled for quality assurance inspections .

Customers are most welcome to come and visit the Valla plants to examine the 3-dimensional designs and hence see how they can operate to meet their special needs.
