In the early 1960s Valla was the first company in the sector to recognize the need for a new crane to handle material. It was a matter of developing a new feature sandwiched between the forklift and truck cranes, thus, the first industrial self-propelled crane was born. In the decades that followed, Valla continued to design, manufacture and market a series of products featuring exclusive patents and innovative performance, including the first battery-powered industrial self-propelled crane and a full range of self-propelled cranes from 2 to 90 tons, whether electric, diesel, hybrid, wheeled or tracked, fixed or swiveling boom, with dozens of special applications.

1945 - Foundation
The Valla company is founded, the activity is the import of construction machinery for reconstruction.
1961 - 1st Pick & Carry crane
Eng. John E. Valla designs the first self-propelled crane defined as pick & carry equipped with an MVbenz engine.
1972 - 1st Electric Self-propelled Crane
Valla S.p.A. produces the first electric self-propelled crane model 30E.
1999 - 1st Hybrid Crane
First Valla hybrid model (40 ton E/D.
2010 - New Electronics
Introduced the new electronic generation in the light range.
2014 - Manitex International
Manitex International INC acquires Valla S.p.A.
2021 - The R series is born x
